Christmas Card Class

If you haven’t started your Christmas cards and don’t have any ideas, sign up for the class this Saturday, Nov. 6th and make these three cards plus two more.  We’ll be using the Rubber Stamp Tapestry peg stamps.  Thses little stamps on the end of a peg are so easy and forgiving, they’re perfect for even the beginning stamper.  We  may even get in an ornament.  We’ll be using embossing folders for texture, and nestibilities for easy cutting of interesting shapes.  Cost for the class is $20.00 and includes supplies and a set of stamps (value $10.00) to take home.  If you wish to take the class without the stamps, the cost is $15.00.  Please bring foam mounting tape, a tape runner or Zip Dry glue, small scissors, and craft mat.

Pumpkin Card

I thought you would like to see a really cute card I received today from Carole of Little Rock.  This card is too cute!!!  Thank you, Carole.  I said in my email newletter Sunday, I was going to have a special offer on the blog this week.  So, here it is.  Be one of the first two people to come in the store, make a purchase ( any amount), and say you saw the offer on the blog, and I have a gif t for you.  You may have either a set of Hero Arts cling stamps, or a flexible ruler from BoBunny.  Keep watching for more special offers.  And if you haven’t subscribed to the blog, do it now.

Christmas Banner Class

This is a Christmas Banner that we will be doing in class this Saturday.  There are spaces for pictures, and I think this would be a great keepsake with pictures from Christmas’s past.  It is made from heavy chipboard, so it will stand up (no pun intended) for years to come.  Since this is made from a kit, there will be plenty of supplies left, so we’ll be making and decorating some little boxes and bags.  These are perfect for giving little cookie and candy treats.   Come and get a headstart on Christmas!  Cost for the class is $22.00 and you need to bring a 12″ paper cutter, small scissors, Zip Dry glue, foam mounting tape or pop dots, and red liner tape.  Class meets from 9:00 to 11:00, Saturday, Oct. 30th.  Please call or email your interest in attending.  Prepayment is required.

Two More Cards for Class on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010

Here are the other two cards that we’ll be making Saurday.  If you would like to take the class, but can’t make it Saturday, but could make it on Friday, call the store.  I’m going to be doing the class for others that can’t attend Saturday.  This tree is a brand new design, so come and start your Christmas cards.  New in the store is a Cosmo Cricket collection called Mitten Weather.  These Christmas/winter papers have the traditional colors with just a touch of purple/lavender in them.  Very cool!!

Class next Saturday, October 23, 2010

The card above is one of three we will be doing in this week’s class.  The Christmas tree stamps is a new design from Outlines Rubber stamps.  The tree is designed so that it can be used as a whole, or cut apart and used as pieces, as it was on this card.  The cost for the class is $25.00 and includes the $14.00 stamp.  We’ll be “blinging” up the tree.  As always, seating is limited and reservations with prepayment are mandatory.  You may email me and then call the store with a cc#.  Please note that the class will start at 9:00 and end at 11:00.  Please bring a paper cutter, small scissors, tape runner or ZipDry glue, and mounting tape.  These may be purchased at the store, if you don’t have them.

Thanks to all of you who assembled cards for Operation Write Home.  I sent off a box of 600 cards most of which were Christmas Cards to be sent to are military personnel.  These cards will be sent to family and friends by our soldiers overseas.  As of last Monday, this organization has sent almost 600,000 cards to our soldiers.  What a wonderful project!!!

Along with the above Christmas tree stamp from Outlines, were some new Topper stamps.  These stamps are designed to fit over the top of a Christmas ball ornament to give it some bling.  When you’re in the store, take a look at the ornament in the store.  These make beautiful and inexpensive gifts and great items for craft sales and bazaars.

This week the album kits are on special for $10.00.  These kits originally sold for $29.99 and contain an 8×8 album, page protectors, 20 sheets of paper, and stickers and embellishments.  They make great gifts, especially for showers.  This was a special purchase and are limited in quantity.

Be sure to subscribe to the blog if you would like to be emailed each time I post new information.  Thanks to all of you who have already subscribed.

New Card

I saw this idea on the web, but I can’t remember where so I can give credit.  Of course, I used nestibilities–the octagon and scalloped octagon.  I really like the look of the dots using the Hero Arts raindrop stamp.  I used scraps for the two rectangles.  One was printed and the other was cardstock embossed with the bubble embossing folder.  Now, for those of you following the blog, I promised a surprise.  The first three people to come in the store and make a purchase of any amount, will receive a set of flower cling stamps from Hero Arts valued at $10.00.  Good luck!

Dimensional Flower

This easy to make flower can be used on cards, paper projects and scrapbook pages.   It’s fun, quick and can be made in various sizes.  Watch for different paper flowers in later posts in the coming weeks.
