Valentine Card ?

Is it too early to start thinking about Valentines?  Well, probably.  But while this would make a pretty Valentine, it’s really another of the cards for the military kits.  I am busy getting classes ready for the new year.  And, of course, there will be Valentines.  This is another simple card using designer paper, a simple border punch, and the heart Nestibilities, both the classic and scalloped sets.

Military Card ?

Here is a card that I put together this week.  I would like to do the cards for Operation Write Home again after the first of the year.  This is a card that will be in the kit.  I hope that you are interested in continuing to support this project.  The last time I looked, they had sent over 720,000 cards to our military people for them to send to family and loved ones.  Click on this link to learn more about this project, and what it means not only for those serving our country, but also those left at home.  Watch the blog for more information.

Leftover Paper

I’ve been playing around with papers I’ve had for a long time.  Sometimes there are only a few sheets left, and I need the room in the racks, so I stick those sheets in the back room.  Just like you, eventually I need to do some weeding out.  So, here are a couple of cards I came up with.  They’re not elaborate, but I think they turned out nice.  Check out your stash, you may have some of these papers in it.  If you don’t, use these ideas with your paper.

Mitten Weather Snowflake Card

Here is a card made with two patterns of Mitten Weather paper from Cosmo Cricket.  The snowflake stamp design is an Outlines rubber stamp.  Although it can’t be seen in the picture, I added snowflake Stickles to the stamped design.  Remember,  there is still time to stamp a bunch of Christmas cards.  This card took only about ten minutes, and the store still has lots of neat Christmas stamps, papers, and stickers.
