Valentines?

Yes, these are Valentines.  I was on Operation Write Home’s website a few days ago, and read about a challenge they were doing.  Archway Cookie Company will send a package of cookies to our military heroes for every Valentine sent to OWH by Dec. 10th up to 5000 packages.  I didn’t plan on making Valentines to send, but I couldn’t resist this.  If you would like to make a card or two, please drop them off at the store by this Saturday.  Make them love or valentine themed, and remember no glitter.  I’ll send them in.

I’m busy planning the Hero Arts Debut for a week from Saturday, Dec. 10th.  Keep watching for more details, and check Hero Arts blog for sneek peaks www.heroarts.com .  When you get to their website, click on blog.

Important News

It’s almost time for the new Hero Arts Catalog to be released.  Wow, new stamps!!  R. U. Stampin’ & Scrappin’ will be one of the Debut Stores.  Be sure to mark Saturday, Dec. 10th on your calendar, for a Debut Party at the store.  There will be give-aways, make and takes, and new stamps to see and buy.  There may be even some sweet things to eat.  Watch for more information on the fun.  Just keep that day free.

Have you seen the commercials for Shop Small Saturday?  We all know about Black Friday, and then came Cyber Monday.  Last year American Express started Small Saturday.  This is the day to do some of your shopping at small local stores.  When you shop at these stores 67% of the money you spend stays in town to support your local economy.  Much more than when you shop in the large chains.  And, nothing comes to the local economy from online sales.  So “Shop Small” and help out your local economy.

Pictured are two simple cards using Spellbinder dies and Martha Stewart punches.

Saturday Store Hours

Please note that tomorrow, Saturday, the store will be closed from 11:00 to 1:00.  I will be teaching a class to a large group and will not be able to have the store open.  I will open at 1:00 for business.  Thanks for your understanding.

This is a card that I did this week.  I really love the SEI papers, and, of course, Martha Stewart’s string lace and butterfly punches.

There are still a few of the BoBunny packs available.

Ornament Topper Stamps

The ornament topper stamps are back in stock.  I have both the one shown here and the one posted on Oct 26th.  These make beautiful ornaments for your tree or as a gift, and they are relatively quick to make.  Also, the Cover a Card stamps shown used on a card on the Oct. 31st post are also back in stock.

There are still some of the BoBunny paper packs left.  Remember, this is a pack worth $70.00 for only $20.00, or $15.00 with at least a $5.00 purchase.  Good deal!!!

Christmas Ornament

Here is a Christmas ornament that I have been working on for a few days.  It uses some new paper by Little Yellow Bicycle,  Spellbinder dies, and a cameo from Webster’s Pages.

I realized that I didn’t add anything about the card in Monday’s post.  The green background paper is from SEI, the flower is from paper by American Crafts, and the punched edge is, of course, Martha Stewart.

Now please note:  I have a special offer from BoBunny.  I have packs of paper, stickers, and embellishments worth $70.00 for $20.00, no other purchase necessary.  However, with a purchase of $5.00 or more, the pack is only $15.00.  Now to sweeten the deal, I will add another $10.00 worth of BoBunny product to the pack, while supplies last.  These packs won’t last long, so hurry in to get yours.

Store Open Tomorrow

Boy, who knew that two 15 month olds could wear you out so fast.  Anyway, we’re back, and I’ll be back in the store tomorrow.  An order came while I was gone.  There are a few new stamps, some 6×6 paper pads from a couple of new companies, oval nesting dies (13 sizes for $24.99), and a 6×6 paper pad from Paper Loft that will make great men’s cards.  See you soon.

Temporary Store Hours

Please note that the store will be closed this Friday, Saturday, and Monday, Nov. 4th, 5th, and 7th.  I’ll be spending a little time with my three youngest grandchildren.  My granddaughter is 3 1/2 and the twin boys are 15 months, and they grow up fast.

This card uses one of the dies from the Spellbinders Fancy Tags 2 and a border punch from Martha Stewart.  The paper is a scrap I’ve had for a long time, and the stamped sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp.
