New Spellbinder Die

I’m using a new, for me, Spellbinder die.  It’s a very fancy oval, and I really like it.  You’ve seen this flower from Hero Arts before.  I’ve been using it a lot lately.  The paper is from SEI and K & Co.  The saying is also from Hero Arts.

Please note:  The store will be closed from Friday, June 1st  thru Saturday, June 9th.  Regular hours will resume Monday, June 11th, so that I may visit my 97 year old mother.  If there is anything you need, the store will be open this Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: May 29th, 30th, and 31st.  Thanks for your understanding.

New Make and Take Card

This is the latest Make and Take card that came with the order today.   Stop in the store to make one for yourself,  while supplies last.  And, while you’re  here, check out the great new saying stamps from this company.  There are lots of “sweet” sayings to go with cupcakes, strawberries, and all the other sweet things we like to put on cards.

The Memory Box dies have been selling well, but there is still a nice variety.  If you haven’t expeerienced these dies and have a Big Shot or Cuttlebug machine, you need to see for yourself how delicate these die cuts are.  It’s really amazing.

Card made with Memory Box Dies

I saw a cute idea using one of the circle dies and the Ivy Tendril die to make a flower.  This is my take on the idea.  I used one of the buckles for the circle, but any of them will work.  The paper is by Pebbles and with 6 or 7 double sided sheets to choose from, it’s easy to put together a card.  Hope you enjoy.

New Memory Box Dies have arrived

Yea!!!!!  The box came this afternoon.  There is a great selection of dies right now, so hurry in to pick out yours today.  Can’t get in right away?  Call me to hold what you’re looking for.

This is a card I made a few days ago using the Chloe Stem die.  It also uses paper from Paper Studio and Sei.  Simple card and easy to do.

Thinking of You Card

I found this brown dotted paper in the back room the other day.  I’ve had it for years and decided to use it up for cards for Operation Write Home.  The flower is from a clear set of Hero Arts stamps, as is the sentiment.  A piece of white cardstock punched with a Martha Stewart around the corner punch set, finishes off the card.

Just a quick heads up.  The next order from Memory Box shipped Monday.  That means the dies should be here this week.  Watch the blog for a post when they’re here.

Paper Quilt

I know some of you have seen this card in the store, but I thought the rest of you might like it, too.  It was made using a 3/4 inch square punch.  By using a punch, all of the squares will be equal.  This is hard to do with a paper cutter.  Lay out your design, there are hundreds of quilt designs, and back it with a square punched on all sides.  It’s the perfect card for your quilting friends.  Oh, it’s also a great way to use up those little scraps you can’t bear to toss out.

Lemonade, Anyone?

It’s a warm May day, so I thought I would offer you all a glass of lemonade.  The first card is regular and the second is pink lemonade.  This is an image from Impression Obsession, colored with Copics.  If you look closely, I paper pieced the little umbrella on both cards.  However, the one on the yellow was popped up.  Of course, I used a Martha Stewart around the corner set on the pink card.  I’ve wanted to do something with this stamp for a long time, but just didn’t get around to it.

As some of you know, Tim Holtz has been releasing Distress Ink Pads for each season.  These are Limited Edition and once they’re are gone, they’re gone.  I’m getting a shipment in this week, and half of them are already spoken for.  If you are interested, let me know right away.  I don’t know if I’ll be able to order more.  Also, keep your fingers crossed that the next order of Memory Box dies comes in this week.  I’ll let you know.
