Elizabeth Crafts Card

This is one of the cards from the Elizabeth Crafts class this morning.  I had two great classes today.  We’ll be home tomorrow, and I’ll be in the store at 10:00 Wednesday morning.  Stop in to see new ideas.

Impression Obsession Class

This is one of the cards we did this morning at the Impression Obsession class.  This project uses the square shaker box.  When you see the card up close, you can see the dimension from the shaker box.  The birds fly behind the bird bath.  I hope to teach this class soon.  Don’t forget, the store will reopen this Wednesday at 10:00.

Does This Look Complicated?

There are several new dies by Sizzix used in this card.  The white border and the orange label shape on the front of the card are both new.  The Multi Tier pop up die used on the inside unfortunately doesn’t show up really well.  Please take my word that it is really cool.  There are several different levels that can be used to pop up.  You’ll just have to stop in the store to get a really good look.

I also had fun today playing with some of the products from Viva Décor.  Watch for some of their great products to arrive in the store.

For those of you who like to die cut down rather than up, you’re going to love the new magnetic platform from Sizzix.  It uses their regular cutting plates to make the “sandwich” you’re used to making, so that you can cut down and use the cutting plates you already have.   I should have them in the store in a few weeks.

Watch for more tomorrow.

Hello from Galveston

I know that not all of you are following the store on Facebook, so here is a card that I posted on Facebook a short time ago.  This is one of the eight cards from the Christmas Card Workshop for $10.00.  I cut the wreath die from Impression Obsession out of glitter paper and colored the pearls with my Copics.  I will have these sets available for sale when I’m back in the store on Oct. 2nd.  If you haven’t visited the store Facebook page, I invite you to click on the link on the right hand side of the blog home page and take a look.  I just posted the weekly Tip of the Week.  You might be interested in checking them out.

Great Time Saturday

Eleven cardmakers from the North Little Rock area spent the day making the 20 cards in the Christmas Card Workshop.  It was an enjoyable and productive day.  Lots of chit chat, lunch at Fisherman’s Wharf, and twenty Christmas Cards done.  If you haven’t had a chance to do the cards, call the store or email me.  You can either do the cards at the store or take the kit home to work on there.  If you’re out of town, the kit can be mailed, since everything is ready to assemble.  Cost is $25.00.

PLEASE NOTE:  The store will be open this week, regular hours.  I will be heading to Houston next Saturday after the store closes for an education and trade show.  I have signed up for a lot of classes by Graphic 45, Bazzill, Impression Obsession, Sizzix, Elizabeth Crafts, and Maya Road.  The store will be closed Monday, Sept, 23rd thru Tuesday, Oct. 1st, and will reopen on Wednesday, Oct. 2nd.  If you have special order items to pick up or items you need to work on projects, come see me this week.  I hope to post to the blog and Facebook while I’m gone.

Another Christmas Card Workshop

I have been asked to do another Christmas Card Workshop.  I have eight cards ready for a cost of $10.00.  Some of the other cards have been posted on Facebook.  If you would like to see them, use the link on the right side of the blog.  Please call the store if you’re interested in joining in on the fun either Tuesday, Sept. 10th or Thursday, Sept. 12th.  Can’t make it, but would like to do the cards?  Call to pick up a kit of the eight cards or the twenty card kits.

Important News

For those of you who don’t follow Facebook, the rest of this week is Skip a Box Week.  When you make a purchase I will skip a box on your Rewards Card.  Also, there is a Free Box in the store.  You might find a treasure among the “odds n’ ends”.  Come early, they’re sure to go fast.

The card features a new background die from My Favorite Things, and my old standby the pine branch from IO.  And there are new things in from My Favorite Things and Memory Box.
