I’m Baaack!!

hp photosmart 720I got home tonite after a great trip of almost 5000 miles and 19 states.  I think even Gulliver (our mastiff) was happy to be home even though he loves to travel.  I had a great education/trade show in Boston.  New product will start arriving this week.  We stopped at Williamsburg VA as you can see by the picture.  And, spent a couple of days with my mom who will turn 100 on May 27th.  I had an enjoyable trip, but it’s always good to be home.  I hope you missed me and having the store open.  I’ll have the store open tomorrow for regular hours 10:00 to 4:00.  Hope you can stop in soon.

Use Those Strips of Scrap Paper

hp photosmart 720This is a great way to use up some of those strips of scrap paper.  Cut coordinating colors with dies and add to a card with a sentiment and embellishment.  Quick, easy, and cute.  Tip:  When I cut  a 12 x 12 piece of paper into 4X5.25 mats, I have a strip of paper 12 x 1.5 left.  Save these strips and die cut them to use for this kind of a card.

What is it?

hp photosmart 720Do you know what this is?  This is a new die cutting machine made in England.hp photosmart 720The first picture shows it closed for travel or to conserve space.  The second picture shows it open ready to cut.  Why is it so special?  It is 9 inches wide rather than 6 inches like the current machines.  It can use one of the new embossing folders that will emboss an 8.5 x 11 inch piece of paper.  That is a great feature, but the best one is the dial on the top of the machine.  It tightens and loosens the rollers, eliminating the need for shims.  If a die isn’t cutting well, simply tighten the knob.  Boy, that’s a great idea!  This machine is well priced at $199.99.  If you think that you just have to have one, email me, and I’ll hold one for you.  They should be in the store in a couple of weeks.  I’m sure we’re all going to love this machine.
